Some MP4 files will not import into Premiere Pro CC 2018... need Quicktime but...

Some of the .MP4 files from my DJI drone fail in import to Premiere. (on Windows 10 -- These same files are usable on all other video software I own, as well as a lower end video editor). I found that installing Quicktime fixes the problem temporarily. The files will import but after awhile Premiere tells me it will no longer support Quicktime and after that the files will no longer import. Plus, with Quicktime istalled, renders take more than twice as long. Does anyone know another solution to this problem?

Same thing occurred with my 4K video footage on my Yi 4K+ Action cameras.

I just changed it to ".mpg' and I was good to go again.

I opened the Mavic Pro 2 mp4 file in Microsoft Photo cropped the ends and saved to desktop. opened photoshop clicked open file and found the file and opened it in photoshop. It opened! have not worked on it yet. i was just excited that it did open.

If you can upload a clip to a file sharing site, I can test here, see what happens.

The file imports fine in 2018, but I have never seen a message saying no longer support for QT.

I have QT codec installed not the player.
