Some of my proxy clips loses audio sync - why?

I am working with multiple cameras and proxies, having imported AVCHD sources from two cameras and mp4 from a third into separate folders.

It works so far fine, but for some reason a few of my clips lost sync on audio. When I check their original, no sync problems exist.

Proxies are made with GoPro and they, too, play back just fine and sync''ed when I locate the files on my harddrive.

But the clip in Premiere Pro CC 2018 has the sound descynced. Why? This is the 2nd project where I experience this, and I am not sure how to fix it.

Edit: I have cleaned out the media cache as explained in this post but it doesnt seem to help.

So, I delete the offending clip, and I try to ingest it again by locating it in the media browser. I make sure to open it in the source monitor to check it for sync problems. It plays back just fine.

So, Ingest! Now the clip works. But not with a proxy, I had to delete that.

Yes, I had to scrap the proxies and revert to full clips. Cleaning cache did not help, PP still imported the proxy with the clip audio synch off. I will finish up this project now, but I have another coming up next week where I will attempt this again.

Yes they are ingested and converted to GoPro proxies. 11 out of 12 clips are fine, but one has its synch off. Funny is, it is synched fine in the proxy it self when I play it back with a media player. It is in the project that it goes awry.

Are these proxies created by the ingestion process in PrPro, or ones you have made elsewhere?

I'm not sure I understood that reply totally. Are you saying the proxy media is created by PrPro from the original media, and the proxy audio is off on one clip inside PrPro but if you play the proxy clip outside PrPro it's fine?

If so, manually delete your cache files and cache database files after closing the program then restart and allow PrPro some time to rebuild the cache. See if that fixes this .
