Some Projects Won't Export Using Hardware

I prefer exporting my projects using the "Hardware Encoding" option, but it doesn't work with some sequences. I used to always use hardware encoding with 16x9 1920x1080 video just fine, but lately it's hit and miss. Sometimes it says that feature isn't supported. The only thing I can think of is that I have something messed up in the render settings that I don't know about.

My PC Specs

Processor: Intel Core i9-10850K CPU 3.60GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER

In addition to @Ann Bens suggestion, check to see the rest of your output settings. The nVidia hardware codecs only support certain parameters. For example, if you try to export something that is interlaced (instead of progressive), it will switch to "software" rendering. Also, you did not specify what codec you were using. Some outputs are not hardware accellerated.

I'm using h.264. I'm also using progressive not interlaced. I've used these paramaters before and I was able to use the hardware encoder. I'm going to look into @Ann Bens suggestion and see if that fixes it.

Make sure you have the latest Nvidia STUDIO driver installed, not the Game driver.

NVIDIA Studio Driver | 461.40 | Windows 10 64-bit
