I am searching all over the from the past two days and couldn't find a solution to my problem.

When i import an audio file into the source monitor, the wave form shrinks to 50% of its length

and the audio plays shaky and broken.Sometimes it doesn't even read the audio like below.

No waveform ,Shows track length but no audio.

I tried to clear the media cache by going to the common folder in user>app data>adobe>common

but it didn't worked.

Reinstalled the software that didn't worked, tried to convert .mp3 to .wav format ,that didn't worked either.

Please help me out .

I am attaching an image file regarding my issue.

Thanks!!

Correct answer Peferling

The audio with the video is perfectly fine .

Problem is only occurring when I import an mp3 file.

"mp3 file".  Is it variable bit rate while the video is constant?  Could be an issue with sync.

How is your system set up?  Do you have video/assets on a dedicated drive, not running on the same buss as the system drive?  Are you conforms also on a separate drives?

Have you though about converting the media to a native format, MXF or whatever fits within Adobes smart render specs?  Such are native formats to the application and require less work while avoid conforms.  I work with MXF, wav and PSD/Tiff exclusively.  Everything gets converted to the format before it hits the bin.

Have you tried updating your audio driver?

Is the problem also occurring with audio of video clips?

I will try, but the audio file plays fine until I put it in premiere pro. In premiere pro, it’s like it’s trying to play too fast And gets all jumbled up.
