sort clips in timeline by resolution?

Hey Kevin,

maybe if I was a a vise man and new everything  in advance that would be a good workflow. But as far as I know projects change all the time and the ability of resorting the timeline is key to get a clue what's going on. And the timeline can differ. It depends what I need at certain point in time. 

have you ever seen what you can do with an avid timeline? 

nobody out there that knows what I am talking about?

just one question: 

tou need to know the clip length of every shot that you edited, because your produce has to ask somebody for permition or what ever. 
so how do you get this info? 
hovering over the clips? 
exporting xml ? 

you need to know which are the skimps hits and where located (and you forgot or whatever to do this in advance, yes this happens) 

so how do we organize this timeline after it is compiled? 

anyone any idea? 

do we do this by hand ? 
is there a tool to do this ? 

do I transfer everything to avid , because there I can do this? 

imagine your doing a long format documentary without producer .... 

with more than one editor .... 

i can't find any tool to give this timeline structure and I don't know why ? 

this timeline needs a bit of work and love for people in trouble. 

bevor adding anything new to this app pls 

ask experienced editor that work without the big support of a studio on how they structure a timeline and what they need.

And if anybody wrote a good book that is not only featuring the interface and how to use it but how to really edit and about workflows that matter then I would appreciate the title!

I am really trying to understand this app, but how about giving editors some of the feature we already fought for? 

I will find a workaround but man I am
