Sound inconsistent

I bought the adobe creative suite 6 master collection. It's been brilliant until now that I've had a new computer built for me on windows 10. The problem now is unless the sound builds on the timeline it won't play. It can take ages to build the sound and I work with multiple files. Unless someone has an answer I'm about to delete it from this computer and go back to windows 7 and my old laptop that works. WTF.

    I truly believe your better option is to update to current software to go with the current OS.

    I'm reluctant to invest another couple of grand on software just to see. It should work and that's what I expect. It's hardly old software and not cheap. If I could get concrete evidence that it will cure it but this feels more like a sound card software or something issue.

    A couple grand would get you over 3 years worth of full-suite subscription, and over 8 years of a Premiere-only subscription.  I'm sure you could test this in far less time than that.  The 7 day free trial would likely do fine.
