Question

Source panel disappear

I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro 26.2.2 (Build 3).

When I open Premiere, everything works normally at first. I can see the Source Monitor and import/drop my files without any issues.

However, after a short time, the panel suddenly disappears and I cannot restore it.

When I go to Window → Projects and click on my project, instead of reopening the Project panel/resource panel, Premiere only creates a duplicate of the project tab name without showing the actual contents or panel.

I’ve already tried reopening the panel from the Window menu, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

Hi vassia_7,

Have you tried resetting the preferences to see if it’s helping? Also, is it happening when working with new projects?

Thanks,
Sumeet

I would try to reset the workspace if even Shift+2 or Window >  Source Monitor won´t get the Source panel back.

In Premiere, go to Windows > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout and see if that solves the issue.

Maybe when this happens, your Source Monitor is hiding behind another panel in the top left corner? Can you see a tab for the Source Monitor?

No, it's nowhere! The only thing that works is to import the hole project to another project. But even then after a while it keeps on disappear!

That is odd. If you go to Window menu, can you see a tick next to Source Monitor?

Try resetting the preferences:

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-pro/using/reset-preferences.html

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
