Source Settings is now greyed out for every new r3d clips imported

At some point, I am now unable to import a new r3d clip (new and old project) with Source Settings not greyed out. Reinstalling REDCINE-X did not fix. Reboot did not fix.

Previously imported clips have clickable Source Settings. A same clip re-imported will also have option greyed out.

Issue was not existent on Premiere Pro CC 2015 yesterday...

For any R3D clip (or other format that used to have Source Settings) imported into CC 2015, the settings functionality has moved to Master Clip Effects. If you import a CC 2014 project with R3D clip, then Source Settings will be enabled in the Project panel.

    Snippet from help doc:

Source Settings available in the Effect Controls panel

For RED, ARRI, CinemaDNG, DPX, and Sony F65 media files, you can adjust Source Settings by using the Master tab in the Effect Controls panel. Previously, Source Settings were available from a modal dialog.

Thank you! I have an old Adobe CC book.

Just wanted to chime in and mention that the way this works now is so counter intuitive and complicated. Like: how do you batch change everything so that you're S-Log input luts aren't defaulted to Rec 709 for everything? Manually for each clip?? Whack.

Adobe? Hello...? This is a huge deal to us working with .R3D's. In fact - I'd say that's one of the biggest selling points for CC (working natively). Please give us an optimized workflow for using/adjusting RAW Data.

Has there been ANY fix to this yet?  Every time they release a new update, I think "surely that finally added back that option" and it's still not there.  It's literally the only reason I install their updates anymore is so I can go back to my old workflow.

How exactly do we submit this sort of feedback directly to Adobe?  It's ridiculous.

I second this comment!  Please can you guys make an option in the windows menu to open up the source setting for .r3d files?!  I have requested this twice from your requests page.

Better yet can you work directly with RED to build in RedCineX into a window in Premiere?  Or at least some way to make corrections in RedCineX and have them show up in Premiere without having to re-import?  It would be ideal to have RedCineX built in, but at least can you make it so hitting edit original opens up in redcineX and then reflects changes back into Premiere?

Thank you so much for your time!

Please update premiere to have source settings in a separate panel that stays open all the time!  This is such a nightmare to click 4 times every time I want to access source settings for .R3d clips.   Also it has only been working for some of my clips now!  Come on listen to the people on this thread and fix this A.S.A.P!

I can only get the source settings from the new master clip area to work on some RED clips...other clips are getting NO OPTION... of course i hate this new location rather than the simple right click...but why will my some of my RED clips get no option?

Is it because I started the projectyin an older version and as it updated I no longer get that functionality???

I am so bummed I upgraded...this is devastating. I seriously will consider buying a used computer now with the old CC from last year.

This is a real problem, please make it also works from right-click, source settings. It should also be available directly from the timeline.

You really need to fix this back to how it was and make a shortcut key for it.

Even when I right click the file from time line, reveal in project, and right click there source settings are still grayed out!

    What am I doing wrong?

I don't understand why you guys have to change something that works perfectly fine. It costs time and confusion. The user interface in source settings is more intuitive than this new one in the effect controls panel. Bummer.

I am disappointed that Adobe did not fix this in the July-edition of PP2015. Have been working some weeks now with the new interface for RAW-settings on RED-files, and it slows down the workflow a lot.

Does anyone know why Adobe has removed the original source settings? They still are there, because they work fine in upgraded projects, just not in new projects. Wouldn't it be easy to make it available also in new projects? Is the plan to remove it completely in future versions?

This is a key feature for professional editors and colorists, and the loss of this function it might even force professionals to choose other software than Adobes.

AE AND PP are both crashing a ton for me as well, and i've noticed that AE is much less responsive when working with 6k than 2014 CC was. I second the need for a major update (again)! PLEASE ADOBE FIX THIS SOON
