I don't have the option "close caption display in program monitor panel"

i reimported the srt severeal times.

This same srt worked fine before in premiere.

it's in UTF-8 ENCODING

i tried deleteing cache

I reset to saved layout and switched to different layouts.

Whot do I do?

Raphael,

There is no longer a display setting for captions. The caption method was completely reworked beginning with PR 2021.

If you imported the srt and do not see it, you must add it to a sequence.

Or select the sequence in the timeline, open the Text panel, select the Captions tab, and click "Import captions from file." The captions should be visible.

Thanks for the response, Stan.

The other day somehow it magicalky displayed the subtitles fine. Same files and same project. I don't know but maybe it had something to do with the software Asus Crate. I was having occasional greyscreen PC crashes. And I read somewhere it cause driver issues with Nvidia drivers. Since I uninstalled it, I stopped having Windows crashes and subtitles display on premiere properly.

Thanks for reporting back. It don't understand the details, but I think graphics drivers can be an issue for caption display.
