SRT FILE

Hello,

I need to export a SRT file in Adobe Premiere. I've done the subtitles with captions. On the track, I have the main subtitles in a style, but there are a few of them different ( Italic style ) and there are also a few "dialogues". I exported the SRT file and when I imported in Adobe to check, I saw that it just transforms everything in one style and also the "dialogues" have their position moved.
Is there a way to keep different styles of the subtitles in a SRT file?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

unfortunately subtitle styles are tricky.   And gotta say, different platforms handled subtitle files differently.  I recently worked on a  restoration of a doc from the 80's which the director was very particular about the subtitles and getting them to work properly on both a dvd and on various streaming platforms was nearly impossible.  Was not a lot of fun and I'm glad the project is delivered

I found this to be a useful tool for tweaking subtitles

https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit. There's both an online and freestanding tool.  If I remember correctly, the free standing tool is windows only.    Stan Jones is the expert here on all things subtitle/captions.  Hopefully he'll step up to the plate.
