.SRT won't import, generic error, Premiere pro 2023

Hi,

I am editing a documentary (approx 100mins) and suddenly the import of .srt files from translator has stopped working. I can still use the .srt files I have imported previously couple of months ago but no new .srt's can be imported.

I updated the premire to the latest version, cleared cache, started a new project but nothing works. I found a thred discussing this topic but no solution could be found. I have on my mac previous versions of Premiere but they won't work either.

I am runnin mac studio m1 2022 machine.

Looking forwards to a solution/ workaround asap!

Hi, thanks for quick response. The weird thing is that I have previously imported this .srt. here are the lines:
