Stuttering when paused

Hi, new HP Z6 running fast storage, 1TB internal, Windows 10.

When I playback a simple sequence 1080i/59.94 it plays well. When I stop or pause playback I get a stutter on the audio and video until I click on the interface, of click around on the timeline.

Anyone seen this type of behaviour?

    I'm guessing but could it be because your material is interlaced so premiere is playing both fields?  You might try changing your sequence settings to progressive while you're working and then back to interlaced when you're ready to output...
