Subscription for Premier. How do you end it?
So after waiting for an hour for an agent to answer my call I gave up and tried chat. I waited another hour! Finally I get to chat with a person named Nengchingthem. (Spelling is correct.)
Basically I have subscribed to Adobe for over a year (minimum term is 12 months) and wanted to end my contract but couldn't do it online. After a while the agent told me that I had to continue with a second term (12 months) as I was automatically renewed for another 12 months due to not cancelling before the end of the initial 12 months term.
When I tried to cancel in time (ie before my initial term ended) I was told I would have to pay an early termination fee. When I tried to cancel after fulfilling the initial term I was told it had been automatically renewed for a further 12 months and I would have to continue to the end of the 12 month term.
Now correct me if I'm seeming a bit of a numpty but. It appears that this is a catch-22 situation where it appears that no matter what, I have to either terminate prior to the end of the term and pay early termination fee or wait till the exact moment that the term is due for renewal and cancel then.
How can Adobe automatically renew my subscription without my permission? I find that far from legal or fair. And. As this is a monthly subscription surely I should have the right to cancel giving 1 months notice like other companies do? How many of us read all of the small print? This aspect of the contract terms should be big and bold!
Shame on you Adobe for being so greedy. You are losing friends.
