Bug Report

Subtitle;

- Subtitle doesn't work properly when you create a legend in a specific format you can't change ex if i choose CEA-708 ans i change to subtitle in clear when i want to export the subtitle doesn't appear because is still with CEA-708 even if i choose burn under title on the video

- if i choose CEA-708 i can change the background of the subtitle

- if i want change a font for all of subtitle i can't i have to select one by one

- when i choose media export command+M the pop up is very long to appear

-  the fonction Hide PP doesn't work properly we have to push twice

- when i choose title i can't move the title i have to move with the position

it often happens that the icon goes round and adobe no longer reacts without error, we are forced to restart and he asks to create a copy at reboot

Suggestion

- to be able to change format of subtitle easily without having to redo everything

- to be able to select all subtitles in order to modify all the subtitles to change font or position, color, size

- to be able to export subtile only without sound and video in order to import with another subtitle software

- to be import subtitle easily

- to be able to move the title everywhere like before

What specific dot version of Premiere Pro are you running? There have been changes in captioning in several recent versions. For example, several versions back, users could not select all captions in a stream and change the font. Now you can. In fact, I believe you can do all the things you request.

Some caption types allow more control of font and background than others. 708 is a Closed Caption. Closed Captions allow less control than Open Captions. You can export just the caption stream as srt or other formats, but the options vary with type of caption. So let us know more about your specific goal, and we can help.

What do you mean by "move the title everywhere"?

-I use the latest version of PP you're right I could change several caption when I choose closed caption

On the other hand when I use several subtitle in the different tracks when I export I can choose srt I have only choice burn caption I have to recreat or duplicate my sequence even I do that when I open. Srt I saw old version of my subtitle I mean I wrote a lot of caption And I'm with two lines of text

-when I said I can move the title I just say when you creat a title I can move the text I have to move with x/y position before with older version we can select the title and move around like when you use photoshop and you the arrow to move the title

You can also change several using Open Captions.

On the other hand when I use several subtitle in the different tracks when I export I can choose srt I have only choice burn caption

If you use Open Captions, and you export by using File -> Export -> Media (or Ctrl-M), the only caption option is "burn in" or "none." If you have Closed Caption (608 or 708), the options include "sidecar" and it can be srt.

I have to recreat or duplicate my sequence even I do that when I open. Srt I saw old version of my subtitle I mean I wrote a lot of caption And I'm with two lines of text

When you put multiple instances of an Open Caption stream in the sequence, your changes may not appear in the caption stream file in the project panel. And will not export as you expect. If you are using Closed Captions, and you export using the Export -> Media option and use a sidecar, you will get the captions from all the caption tracks in ONE file. It appears to me that you'd have to turn off subtitle tracks that you do not want in the file, for example, if you using multiple languages, one per track.

-when I said I can move the title I just say when you creat a title I can move the text I have to move with x/y position before with older version we can select the title and move around like when you use photoshop and you the arrow to move the title

This depends on the type of caption stream. But you will see position blocks in the caption panel for top left, bottom middle, etc. For Open Captions, there are also x/y%, which allow fine tuning, but only within the safe guides. You can select the caption stream and use the Effects Panel to move the stream outside those limits. But that will only be useful for burned in captions. Closed Captions, however, have the x/y, but do not allow for as fine adjustment, since that is not allowed in the end user application.

I don't believe you can use a keyboard arrow to move them.

What Adobe software are you using to do this?

You've posted in a forum to request features for the actual CC app itself and not any of the software Adobe makes for creators. A moderator can move your thread to the right forum.

A moderator has moved this to the Premiere Pro forum.

Now, the forums are just a place for users to chat with each other. If you want to make your voice heard to the developers at Adobe, the Premiere Pro uservoice is the place to do it: Premiere Pro: Hot (4075 ideas) – Adobe video & audio apps
