Hi John,

Sorry about this. I would try the following troubleshooting steps.

  • Do a clean reinstallation of the appropriate GPU drivers.
  • Update any Windows runtimes: Runtime Issues
  • Media cache deletion.
    • Make sure all projects are closed. File > Close all Projects
    • Then Edit > Preferences > Media Cache. Choose 2nd option to delete all media cache.
    • Press Alt key and relaunch Premiere Pro to reset preferences, as well.

Let us know if anything helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

overrun of a stack-based buffer seems to be the key here but so far no help on how to stop that from anyone 🤨

amfrt64.dll is signed by both Microsoft and AMD, search sees it as AMD Advanced media framework.

Same issue from OP here. I reached out to Ado be customer service and spent a good 90 min and tech was not able to assist. Everything was working fine for the past year or so - no changes on laptop settings and now not ONE file will work. After 2-3 mins frames just star to freeze. Adobe seems functional and short cuts/menus keep working. Sound continues but video freezes.

After weeks I am about to give up my project and have no idea who else to resort for help.

Please help :'(

Might be an oversimplified answer, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere?
