Suggestion for editing immersive video.

I have a suggestion that might help when editing immersive video. What I'm trying to do is to place Animated Sprite from one immersive video into another. It is relatively easy for me to essentially use a green screen to isolate the image that I want to insert. What I would like to be able to do is to essentially logically lock the outer/master video in place and then maneuver my sprite into position. The problem is to properly place the sprite and see what I'm doing I have to be able to reposition the outer 360 movie shell. What would be nice is if I could do that temporarily and position my secondary movie relative to that. What I'm trying to do is to accomplish rendering the full 360 video with my overlays in place at various points in time. You could use this technique to put something in a specific location in space and time within the video. I actually have an application in mind for this. What I am thinking of doing is animating a tunnel of love style fun fun house. At various points in the trip to the fun house I would put other animations on the sidewalls and allow the viewer to turn his head and see my little animation as if it was embedded in the side of the wall. One way to visualize what I'm doing is to think of the two videos involved as concentric balls I want to be able to maneuver the inner ball to a specific position and lock it into place relative to the outer ball. I hope that makes sense.

I have tried this fried trick and it works. I am using reallusion's iClone to generate the animations. What I do is to turn the background for the animation into bright green then I can remove it by simply using a color key. That much works now the trick is to try and place the image at a particular location and time of the outer image. Essentially what I'm trying to do is to a bed and animation sequence into a 360 video made with a camera. The camera is traveling to a tunnel. It will stop at fixed locations to allow me to play my video Sprite. When I get done I want to have the video sprite embedded in the sphere of the 360 video that I shot at a specific time. What I want to do is wasted at an arbitrary location. I still want to give the viewer the ability to turn his head. I just wanted to see my animation if he looks in the right direction.

Regards,

Joe
