Syncing audio with video using Merge Clips problem

Hi,

I've been synchronizing video with two mono audio files (two tracks from Zoom recorder)on the timeline, I had tried using Synchronize button but it always put one audio track slightly differently to the other (I tried using sync by Audio and by timecode as well).

I decided to do it manually, grouped audio then synced it with a video, grouped it altogether and finally Merged Clips. Everything seemed to be good because it works on the timeline however after viewing Merged Clips async appeared...

I attach screenshot showing merged clip on the top and source on the bottom.

Is there something that can be done to fix it?

Thank you for all the answers however I still got the same issue over and over again.

I've contacted Adobe support and they suggested "Render and Replace" of the audio files indeed it helped in few clpis but the rest behave the same it did meaning it shifts after Merging (From timelne not bin) or after creating multicam sequence based on Timecode.

I don't have any idea what's happening, I never had simmilar issue but it completly destroys my workflow beacuse everything turns out to be outta sync...

I attach screenshot with example metadata of audio files - it has the same properties but isn't in sync while imported on timeline.

Notice that the waveform on the un-synced one is a lot smaller? I would guess that if you upped the gain on that clip, it would sync better.

I will say ... I rarely use Merge Clips, as it's not particularly great for editing. You lose some capabilities.

Like Jarle Leirpoll and all the developers suggest, I use the Multicam process for joining all camera and separate recorded audio. Edits better.

Thank you for your answer!

Unfortunately, adjusting audio gain didn't helps, offset still exists.

I've chosen Merging because I wanted to have the whole synced timeline as clips. I also tried using multicam syncing but it also creates strange offset on one track.

Neil, can you tell us what capabilities are lost with "merged" clips.   I've always instinctively avoided it...
