Team Projects: Media relinking overwrites local paths on other computers – how to solve this properly?

Hi everyone,

we are working with a Premiere Pro Team Project in a small team. Each of us has the media stored locally on our own machine (same files, but in different local locations).

The problem we’re running into: Whenever one team member relinks media, Premiere updates the absolute file path in the Team Project. As soon as the project syncs, that new local path is applied on the other team members machines as well, causing media to go offline there. This ends up constantly breaking the project for someone else. I really don’t get how that can happen.

Is there a way in Premiere Pro / Team Projects to map media paths per user?

Thanks a lot for any insight or real‑world experience!

Your team must learn to use the different process in Teams for general team members to do any file/project organization. This is covered in the documentation on Teams use by Adobe.

So I would suggest finding that in the Help, and posting it for all your team members.

Your “link” is not a link.

I didn’t include a link. As getting links to work has been totally problematic for me on this new forum system. Mostly, they do not ‘take’.

That was merely underlining for emphasis.
