Team Projects or Individual Project - Shared Server Storage

Hello! My company has multiple Adobe CC licenses and uses Premiere and After Effects daily for projects. Currently, we are using a large Server and editing over the network with all project files stored on the server drives. We use CAT8 cabeling and are running a 10g connection between computers and the server. Yay, no proxys!
My question: Does anyone see any benefit in using Team Projects to edit in Premiere? 
I'm not too familiar with them and as of now, we've just used individual projects. If one editor needed to access the project for some reason, the other editor just closes the project if open. I'm just not sure it makes sense if benefits our workflow.
Any ideas?

    TP can be quite useful, though there are some differences that can trip you up at first.

     

    One handy thing is anyone can open the project and work on parts of it ... as only the sequences in use by someone are 'locked' at any one time. Which can be a big gain in timesaving.

     

    Also, there is the Productions mode, which allows for mulitple users and auto-locking and such.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...
