Question

Teams autosave ballooning in size?

Hi, I'm fairly new to teams, but I've been editing a feature doc with one other editor and despite experiencing a few techinical issues with updating / publishing taking over 20 min sometimes, it's largely been okay so far. I am on a 2022 Mac Studio / M1 Max chip / 32 GB ram using Monteray 12.5.1 and Premire version 23.6.0 with all footage on a 12TB OWC Raid5 using SSD drives.

My autosave folder within the "teams local hub" is 5gb per project. Older teams projects sum up to 15gb?? This feels extremely high. Any ideas as to why? My normal autosave before I used teams was much lower.

Do you have a lot of stabilized shots? Warp Stabilizer effect calculations are embedded within the project file. Also, you may want to decrease the maximum number of backups, I found that the default of 20 backups to be more than what I really need, I use 5 most of the time.

I only have about 3 stabilized shots and yeah I just reduced the number. But the autosave in teams is a bit different -- there is only one tpr file? It's 5 GB and the others are older teams projects - so total 15gb? a single 5gb autosave file seems absurd.

Aha, never worked with team projects. Maybe @R Neil Haugen can help you here.
