Text based editing transcript drifts out of sync

I am editing an extremely simple 20 minute video: basically a vlog where one person is speaking to the camera. Unfortunately, about 18 minutes in, the transcript suddenly goes out of sync with the audio. It seems the the transcript is just missing six words (that is, six words are spoken that are not captured in the transcript) and from this point on, the transcript is off by about 2 seconds. After this point, text based editing is useless, since the words I delete in the transcript don't actually correspond to what's said in the video. Moreover, the re-transcribe sequence option is greyed out. How can I fix this?

That's kind of strange, @Zealous_outfit157F. What's going on with the quality of the recording at 18:00? Why do you suppose the transcript goes out of sync, as I've not seen that in my own projects. Let us know. I hope we can help.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey thanks for the fast reply Kevin. There's nothing odd happening. In the transcript, it shows [...]. While in fact, there are several words spoken during that supposed gap. The words are clearly annunciated, loud and clear. So I'm not sure why it misses them. I've used this feature extensively and never encountered this before either, including with much longer clips, and less clear audio.

Can you test the same clip in Beta or a previos version to see if we can reproduce the issue?

Cheers,

Kevin
