Text-based editing: Transcript selection no longer creates timeline selection in 26.0.1 - ripple delete broken

ISSUE:
Text-based editing transcript selection stopped translating to timeline selection in Premiere Pro 26.0.1 (Build 3). This breaks all manual editing operations from the transcript panel.

SYMPTOMS:
- Selecting text in transcript does NOT create corresponding selection on timeline (used to work in 25.x)
- Right-click "Ripple Delete" on selected transcript text moves playhead but does not delete clips
- Keyboard shortcut (⌘⌦) for ripple delete also fails when transcript text is selected
- "Ripple Delete" option is greyed out in Edit menu when transcript text is selected

WHAT STILL WORKS:
- Automated "Delete All Pauses" button works correctly
- Manual timeline editing works and updates transcript correctly
- Transcript playback scrubbing and sync works
- Timeline → Transcript direction works (one-way only)

REPRODUCTION:
1. Create sequence with transcribed clip
2. Select any text in transcript panel
3. Observe timeline - no selection/in-out points created
4. Attempt ripple delete via right-click or keyboard shortcut
5. Nothing happens except playhead movement

CONFIGURATION:
- Version: 26.0.1 (Build 3)
- macOS: [your macOS version]
- "Follow active monitor" is enabled
- Issue affects all sequences and all projects (including old projects that previously worked)
- Fresh preferences reset did not fix issue

TIMELINE:
Functionality worked correctly until approximately 11 AM on February 26, 2026. No system or Premiere updates occurred immediately before failure.

@Stan Jones helped me with this issue, but I would like to change this to a UI design fix:

That {} indicator is very faint & I wasted 6 hours on this because I must have accidentally clicked on it.

    @mistwire,

Check that you did not accidentally click the “Automatically set in/out points” toggle - the {} indicator in the icons at the top of the transcript tab. The selected state has a VERY faint grey background.

When unselected, dragging in the transcript does not select in/out points in the timeline.
