Text editing loses all sync when re-syncing clips or changing project folder

The text editing loses all the sync when you have to change the project folder or re-sync clips.
Its unusable since after i edit something the files goes to a backup drive and if the client asks to have a new edit or alteration all my editing is gone since it loses all the sync, all the clips in the timeline goes to the start of the file instead the place that i cut them so i need to re-edit everything again.
