TEXT GRAPHIC LAYER on timeline LAGS WHILE DRAGGING AND INCREASING THE DURATION

I have attached the issue in the video below, whenever I try to drag the text layer or any layer to increase its duration, it lags very much, but when I try to increast it duration from the back side of the layer it works smooth. What could be the issue and how can I resolve this? Premier is latest version

This is usually caused by a long sequence with a large number of clips.

Try splitting your sequence in half. Does this improve the lag?

If so, consider working in smaller sequences and combining them in a master sequence using nested sequences.

    Hi @AWAISKHAN1996,

Thanks for the post. Looks frustrating. It would be helpful to know your system specs. Can you provide those? What kind of sequence is this? HD? 4K? Can you try the same thing in a new sequence? Try the test with new titles. In other words, don't copy and paste from the other sequence. Let me know the results of the test. I hope I can help you.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

sequence is 1080p and yes i’ve tried creating new text as well , its still the same, even after updating premier pro to the latest didn’t resolve it. although on a new empty sequence it works smooth but when i create a new sequence and start working on it this happens

Pretty odd. Have you tried pressing Shift at launch to get the Reset Options dialog box. Try deleting the media cache. If that doesn’t work, see if resetting preferences might help. Note that you will lose customization when doing so. I hope these steps might help. Sorry for the frustration.

    Thanks,
