Text not working properly on new released version

Version: Premiere Pro 25.1.0

Windows 10 latest version

 

Steps:

 

Type on a text, it will get the same properties as this text as the default properties for the next time you type in another text, but on all the Beta builds and the new released Premiere version it won't happen this way.

 

If I edit any parameter on other clips that dont involve the type tool, the next time I create a new text expecting the former properties to be set, it will be on a different font and details settings

    @jamieclarke I wasn't able to identify any specific steps to reproduce it, seems like just editing anything else than the wanted text will make the problem happen

    I was able, though, to remove the MOGRT I constantly use and it was actually causing the problem, I had problem trying to install it back, too.

     

    I will send the mogrt in question to the email you provided me in the other thread!

      Hi @Pitepx -  If the default font for your MOGRT differs from the font you use in Premiere Pro, that could potentially cause the issue. I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem on my end, but if you can identify specific steps to consistently reproduce it, please let us know.

        @jamieclarke I don't know if selecting another text is the problem, as I didn't click on the text itself, just moved the "text clip" in the timeline, it shouldn't replace the comic sans font etc, the text I selected later in the video is even disabled

         

        I think this may have something to do with the mogrt I have imported to my premiere, since it always goes back to Product Sans, the same font I use in the mogrt

        Hi @Pitepx - I slowed down your video and was able to understand what you are doing.  I believe your expected results is that you just want your main font "Comic Sans" to be the default font everytime you use the text tool.  I believe the way this works is that the font is chosen based on the last font you selected.  Repro steps below

         

        1. Add Text with Font selected as "Comic Sans"

        2. Add another Text anywhere and the font selected is "Comic Sans" - Expected

        3. Select a Text box that has a different font.

        4. Add another text, this time the Text has changed to the one you selected in step 3 not the default "Comic Sans"

         

        Does this sound right to you?

        @Annika Koenig the disabled item I selected towards the end had the same properties as the text I selected in the beginning, the only problem is that I type using these properties and they are gone a few steps later;

         

        These are the properties for both the text I click in the beginning and that I drag in the end

         

         

        Perhaps something in it is not supported in the latest builds/the new released version?

        Hm, it's not really easy to see what is going on here. I do see that at 1:12 you are selecting a track item with text but in the video we never see the properties of that text (V2, 05:57:26). Might it be that the settings got picked up by that text? If you know how to reproduce this issue, would you be able to give me steps or a reduced screen recording? I'll try some more things but so far I have not been able to repro this. Thanks!
