Text properties shape with bezier curve

I can't find an answer to this.

I want to animate the path of a rectanglular box within the text properties window with ease in / ease out, not linear keyframes.

If I right click the keyframe in the Effect Controls window, the only option is linear.

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a bezier curve on shape path keyframes?

To be clear, I want this to happen within the text properties window, not as a separate layer in my sequence.

The Path property is limited to linear keyframes, meaning it does not support bezier curves or smooth interpolation.

 

As an alternative, you can achieve a similar effect by animating with the Position or Scale properties. These properties allow for both Temporal and Spatial Interpolation, giving you more control over easing and motion curves.

    What I am essentially doing is animating a series of colored boxes that wipe on consecutively with the final box revealing the text. The text is revealed by copying the last box and using it as a mask to reveal the text. It works but  only with linear key frames. Boring. 
    I found the solution was to put each color box into its own folder.  Then copy the box and place it above the folder. Then you can use position key frames on that box to slide it as the mask. You follow that same process with each color box. Using the sliding box as a mask wipe with position keyframes gives you the option to use bezier key frames instead of linear. 
    At this point I can now create a mogrt.

    I'm not sure if I'm catching what you need, but you can right-click the keyframe and change it to Bezier.
