Question

The audio clip appears in Premiere as a zebra (green and white) and the audio sync is wrong.

We have a documentary project whose project file is shared between two different computers.

Now the problem is that one computer shows the audio clip in Premiere as zebra striped (white and green) and its audio sync is off. Clearly the audio clip loses the In and Out points along the way.
On one computer the project works, but on the other it does not. Both Premiers are version 26.3.

I have tried replacing the audio file completely, but it is of no use, because the In and Out have disappeared inside the audio clip, so it just starts the audio clip from the beginning even though the in and out are much later.

It is an interview where the audio was recorded on a different device, so it is not tied to the camera audio.

This problem is only with this one audio clip.

Is there any knowledge why it does this?

On one computer the project works, but on the other it does not.

On the computer that doesn’t work:

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

What is different from files that work?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the program below
Free program to get file information for PC/Mac http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

    - a MediaInfo tutorial https://youtu.be/Ivy9ckSX1M0

    - when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view
    - post your information IN your message, not as an attachment that someone would have to download
