The letters I and J can only be written in CAPS

I have a problem in subtitles. Suddenly it is impossible to write i and j. The programme only allows I and J. I have tried to copy an i from one sub to another, but it comes out the same way. 

I have tried to change font, to cloes PP and restart the computer. Anyone?
