The maximum EDL event limit - what data am I losing?

Hi! I got the pop up "the maximum EDL event limit (999) for CMX 3600 has been exceeded" when I exported an EDL. What exactly is the consquence of creating an EDL this way--or, what info am I losing?

I split my edit into reels and exported separate EDLs to avoid the popup. Then, just for kicks, I compared the original EDL to a csv of the data from the combined reel EDLs. They have the same number of entries. If I just need this data, is there any reason not to create the EDL the original way and just ignore the popup? Thanks!

@temes_991 the original CMX 3600 specification for EDLs defined a maximum number of events at 999. Strictly speaking an EDL with more events than that is not a compliant CMX 3600 EDL. So, this warning is letting you know about that.

Realistically this was only a concern for the old hardware that would use this format; most modern systems are not limited by this and so you don't need to worry.
