The New Real-time Disappearing Ripple Edit Visual

In this new version of Premiere, it appears that using the ripple edit tool causes everything around the split to slide in real time. I don't like this because it makes it tough to keep a sense of how much you've cut so far. Using the playhead as a reference is, like, the only way now to set a cropping goal.

At the very least, if others do like this new form of operation, make it something optional I can switch back to in settings. I checked "Timeline," "General," "Control Surface," "Playback," and "Trim," and I can't find an option to change this back to the old way.

Has anyone else noticed this, or found a way to change it back?

Hi there,

Thanks for the post. It looks like you're asking about Ripple Edit behavior in Premiere Pro rather than Premiere Rush, so I'm moving your post to the Premiere Pro forum where it will be easier for other editors to find and help with.

Thanks,
Kevin
