the playback of my quicktime screen recording video plays super fat in premiere?

hello! im attempting to edit a video on premiere. the video is a video of me playing a video game and I decided to use Quicktime screen recording feature to capture it.

however when I go to edit in adobe premiere, the playback of the video is SUPER fast for some reason? I can't figure out how to fix the issue. someone please help! if you need specifics like frame rate or length of the video or anything just ask. I'm using the most recent version of adobe premiere.
