Sorry about that. There was a bug in Premiere Pro 25.6 that would update your project format. Now if you're on 25.6.1 or 25.6.2, it won't be able to open that project.

We've written a little downgrader tool that can take your unintentionally upgraded project and restore it so it'll work in the current versions of Premiere Pro (like 25.6.2). You can get it here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/p-premiere-projects-saved-in-v25-6-0-cannot-be-opened-in-other-v25-x-versions/idi-p/15589164

@mattchristensen

Was working on a project Friday in 25.6.2 on a Mac (started in 25.6.2). Today it gets halfway through loading then hangs, all Autosave's are the same.

Any ideas? It's really urgent I open this.

Tried resetting all preferences. Loading the Project into a new Project. UnZipping and changing filename to Pprog. No luck.

thanks

Hi Dan,

We're sorry to hear about this. It seems like a different issue. Could you please confirm if you have used any third-party plugins or effects in this project? Also, are the media files used in the project saved on an external/network drive or an internal drive?

Thanks,

Sumeet
