The same MOGRT has different audio levels across different Premiere Projects

Hello,

My team and I have created MOGRTs to use for a recurring series, and some editors have experienced mismatched audio levels in the MOGRTs. Some will open a project, import the same MOGRT, and the audio peak will be -12 dB, for example, instead of -18dB (which was the set peak amplitude in AE).

What's weird is the disparity in the gain across different projects and editors, and the audio level is not consistent. Without changing the MOGRT itself, editors will import them into Premiere and the corresponding peak amplitude will be seemingly random.

Sometimes we send these files out to ancillary editors and they seem to be the ones with the biggest amount of issues with them.

Does anyone have experience using MOGRTs at this scale and have you come across the same issues?

Thanks,

Ian

Hi -

The fact that you are seeing specifically +6dB makes me think that some of your editors are mixing 2 stereo channels to mono in Pr, which will usually result in the peak going up 6dB. Without seeing a project I can't say for sure, but I doubt the mogrt itself is causing the problem.
