there is a problem with the format of this document which prevents adobe story from loading it
Has anyone else had this message come up? It seems to be something to do with locking of the Desktop App when you go back to it and start typing. It seems to come back ok and I haven't lost anything but it has happened a few times and each time I have to do the following.
- Notification window appears with "there is a problem with the format of this document which prevents adobe story from loading it" on it and the option to choose "Close"
- Sometimes another notification window will appear with the title "ERROR" and the text "Failure to get lock for the document." and the option to click "OK"
- I click OK to clear the second window.
- Then I click Close to clear the First.
- I can then save the document and continue writing.
********UPDATE******** I just closed Adobe Story and restarted the Desktop app to stop the notifications from happening and NONE of the saves I did. Actually saved. This means that even though the * next to the title of the script and in the title bar of Adobe Story's Desktop window went away to show the save had happened. IT HADN'T. Which means all that writing I had done since the notifications happened was lost.
Luckily I had copy pasted into a Google Doc along the way (My own triple save technique) and thank GOD I had. Atleast now all I have to do it copy paste it back in to Adobe Story. I am so GLAD i decided to restart the app.
Can anyone enlighten me on this. I am using the offline desktop version Build 1234 - Adobe Story CC 2015 3.0.2
