Thumbnails Always Reloading

I'm a little new to Premiere Pro (Version 13.01) and I'm hoping someone can shine a light on this situation.

I'm currently transitioning over from FCPX, so to be honest I'm really trying to use premiere pro in a way I'm so use to in FCPX.

I like previewing all my clips as thumbnails (personally I feel it makes for easier story building), though every time I close/re-open a bin in premiere, the thumbnails need to re-generate all over again.

Why is this so? is there a way to stop this from happening??

I'm really trying to use premiere pro in a way I'm so use to in FCPX.

When I switched over to Resolve from Premiere Pro, what gave me the most difficulty was trying to do things the Premiere Pro way.

NLE's often do things differently.  I found it best to abandon what I was used to, read the manual for Resolve and learn how it worked, what methods and features it offered.

I've been a much happier editor ever since.

Regarding this specific issue, I do find PP just works better with the bins in List view.

Please. Please. Please. Please. Fix this. It is literally the slowest thing in my workflow, I will leave a project open just so I don't have to reload the stupid thumbnails. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
