Timecode on imported clips

Hi all - I am having an issue with timecode on imported clips in Premiere Pro CC2019 (13.1.4 Build 2) on Mac. Specifically - it is NOT importing the timecode on clips from my JVC HM620. The clips are MPEG .mts files, 1920x1080 29.97.

 

Curiously, Premiere Pro CC2017 (11.0.1 (222) Build) on Windows doesn't have any problem with the timecode - it imports the clips and timecode just fine! 

 

Any ideas/suggestions why timecode is not coming in with the clips? Thanks in advance!!

    Not sure exactly what you're going for here.... Everywhere in PP2019 the clip shows up with 00:00:00:00 as its start timecode. This was actually the first clip of three - it was a long continuous recording - and all three start at zero. I recorded with 4 cameras, all with matching timecode, and all 12 clips start at zero. If I try to make a multicam clip synced by timecode in PP2019, it lays all 12 clips right over each other. When I do the same thing in PP2017, it puts them in correct sequence, so that when one ends, the next one begins.  PP2019 is just totally ignoring the timecode on the clips!

    You have not done anything: drag the clip into the timeline or double click to open in the Source monitor.

     

    There is also a setting in the Preferences/Media/Timecode: set it to source.

    Post screenshot of where you are exactly missing the timecode.

    Timecode is displayed in many areas.

    Here are the images. If you notice in the browser, the Media Start and Media End in PP2017 reflect the accurate time-of-day timecode that was recorded, but in PP2019 they just show 00:00:00:00 for start and the clip duration for the end.
