Timeline bug after zooming

After I zoom into my timeline using the mouse wheel, I cannot select anything or move the playhead. If I select a different panel and then go back to the timeline panel it works, but only until I zoom in or out with the mouse wheel again. This is only happening in one project, only on one sequence to be honest. There are 6 multicam sequences within the sequnce, no plugins or any adjustments besides for scaling, I am also using proxies, but I still have the issue with proxies off. I feel like I've tried everything, had a thread going on reddit but was unable to fix the issue with any of the advice I got. Anyone have any ideas?

Dawk,

The OP was having this only with one sequence on one project. Is it across projects for you, all created in 2020?

Been happening to me for a few weeks now, exremely frustraiting.

It almost feels as if you're reaching a limit with the software and it just gives up. Not sure but I'm hoping for a fix ASAP

Along with PeruBob's suggestions, I'd also manually delete all contents in the cache and media cache database folders.

Delete/Trash Media/cache files

Also ... see if you can create a new project, and from that project's Media Browser panel, navigate to this project's project file and import that specific sequence.

If you've already tried these:

Try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/FAQ-How-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-Premiere-Pro/td-p/8236158

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
