Hello,

I want to know which timeline configuration to export my videos in .mp4? And what are the configurations to export my timeline in .mp4 high quality?

So, my workflow is like that:

My timeline are in Apple Pro Res 422. I edit in Apple Pro Res 422 codec and timeline configuration. Export in Apple Pro Res 422. And then use Media Encoder to make a .mp4. My Media enconder configuration is "Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate".

I want to export my timeline in .mp4 insted of Apple Pro Res. So how should I configurate my timeline and my export tab?

Thanks a lot!

Understood! Setting the Format field to H.264 or HEVC(H.265) will create your exported file in the .mp4 container. You can also send the export to Media Encoder and duplicate the file in your queue, setting one in Quicktime and the other in H.264 or HEVC. This will save you the trouble of waiting for the first export to finish before starting the second one in Premiere Pro.

Hey Fernando,

Is there any specific reason you export your project in Prores 422 and transcode it in .mp4 format? In the Premiere Pro export settings, if you set the Format field to h.264 or HEVC, you can export in .mp4 format. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Ishan

Hello Ishan, I export in Apple ProRes 422 because  it is my master copy. I allways keep a master copy from all my jobs. It is my workflow.
