Timeline glitching

The timeline on Premiere keeps automatically going to max zoom even when I try to zoom out. This behaviour happens only when using an external mouse and cmd+option keys. It's started happening only with Pr 2024. It's such a pain to work when timeline keeps glitching! Can't find any solutions online.

I am using latest Mac OS and Latest Pr Pro version.

Not having same/similar issues with other Adobe software when using keyboard shortcuts with mouse scroll, so this has to be something with the new timeline features on Pr 2024 It's a pity that Pr continues to keep having bugs even when there's a huge community of professionals PAYING to use it. Sad.
