Timeline Interface - Clip Selection HIghlight + Cross Dissolves

Hi, I have two questions regarding the TIMELINE INTERFACE:

1) when i select a clip on the timeline, is there a way to set the highlight to a specific color OR make it more visible?
(for instance, when selecting a tan clip, the highlight is extremely subtle)

2) before the timeline label color changes that were made last month, i preferred the previous appearance of the cross dissolve icons on the timeline (again, more visible). is there a way to get my cross dissolve icons on the timeline to appear brighter, etc?
