Timeline issues when I select clips

When I select a group of clips, and move the play head, all the clips I selected get deselected.  Why is this happening?  Is there an option I need to click?  This only happens on my PC, not my mac.  If anyone has a solution it will be much appreciated. 

 

I am on premiere version 23.4.0

    Click on Sequence from the top menu and uncheck Selection Follows Playhead.
