Question

Timeline Red despite GeForce GTX 970 (If you choose CUDA No Playback)

Hello - I have tried putting the GTX 970 in the Adobe "cuda card file", it picks it up as on option in General Preferences playback option but if you choose the "Cuda" card option you can't play anything it just sits stuck on the timeline, no scrubbing nothing dead.  So you have to go back to mercury engine software option then it will play... BUT the timeline no matter which playback engine option you go with stays red.

This is a new build but I used this card before and it would typically be a yellow in the timeline with the Geforece GTX 970 and allow fairly smooth editing without rendering.

So there seems to be two issues, timeline always is red and if you choose CUDA card option it freezes.

Please help:)

The red line is normal.  CUDA not working isn't.

Take a look through this, see if anything helps.
