I have updated and re-installed booth Premiere Pro and After Effects but I still get the error mentioned at the top of this article:

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/motion-graphics-faq.html

I have the same set up going on my other computer but the error does not appear there. This started happening after I updated to the 2019 versions.

Premiere Pro 13.1.4

After Effects Trial Expired I cannot check the version but I also cannot update it to a newer version.

FYI the article also states that you can have an expired Trial version of After effects and its supposed to work.

Both have been reinstalled multiple times at this point.

It also seems I don't have the option to downgrade to an older version of After Effects since its a trial or change the cache location as mentioned in the link bellow.

I have attempted the following solution without any success:

For Windows:

  • - Close AE and PP
  • - Go to this location ‘C:\ProgramData\Adobe’ ( It is a hidden folder)
  • - Rename the ‘SLStore’ folder to ‘oldSLStore’
  • - Then go to this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
  • - And rename the SLCache folder to oldSLCache
  • Open PP and AE and check on the issue

Sorry trying to follow what's happening here. Are you saying you used a free trial of After Effects, that trial has now expired, and now Premiere is giving you this message when you try to use an After Effects template?

"If you have a Single-App license of Premiere Pro, you can install the trial version of After Effects. As long as After Effects remains installed even after your trial expires, you can continue to use the Motion Graphics templates in Premiere Pro."
