Track height adjustment with scroll wheel on the mouse

Before this update the track height adjustment with the mouse was done with the scroll wheel just hovering over the actual track header, but now it needs to hold ALT and scroll, which is fine i guess, less miss-adjustments? But it has a delay between when you can switch to a different track to resize that one also.

I need to wait around 300ms to be able to hover another track to resize that, otherwise it keeps resizing the previous one, i would love to not have that delay, because for what i do is faster for me to adjust tracks super fast with the scroll wheel, without waiting.

I can see how that would affect some people, of course, but an option to adjust that would be awesome.

Is there such an option already, cause i cannot find that. Thanks.

Agree on all of the above, a really dumb and inexplicable update.

Such a weird update - slows down my workflow, but I guess I'll get use to it.  SHIFT+scroll was a nice feature to add, but adding an key modifier seems..weird.  Was there many requests for such a feature?

I don't recall anyone having any issues with the previous behavior.  I'm still hard pressed to see what problems were solved by this change, whereas it's very easy to see what problem was created.

I agree, why do we have to have a new way of doing something. Why add the ALT key to this, it's not like the wheel has been assigned some other function now in the track head...

It does seem odd to add the keyboard modifier.  I can't think of any problem that was solved by doing so.

YEEEES, finally found how to disable the timeout (delay) when resizing tracks with the mouse wheel. I know i shouldn't be doing this, but i need it and i don't care . In the console there is a setting for that, look it up Also i found a setting there to disable the default ON "selection follows playhead" setting, no matter what panels you have opened. YES PLEASE

So, where is the setting?

i am fine with alt+mouse wheel, but my problem is that i cannot quickly do it on the track that i want, i need to wait some time before PP registers that i'm on a different track while scrolling.so while scrolling on a track, i can move to a different one while doing it and it would adjust that one, but now i have to stop scrolling, wait about 200ms then start scrolling again on the new track. Before i could just scroll and hover over the track that i need adjusting and it would do that instantly. I work super fast and i need those miliseconds back

I can't reproduce this.  Switching tracks is immediate for me on Windows 10 Pro (1703).

I'll make a video today showing it.

No need, I believe you. Same issue...used to rolling the mouse over the track to change height, now I gotta remember to use the ALT key? Thanks.

A colleague and I j ust spent 10 minutes looking for keyboard shortcuts (really, mouse shortcuts) to change this. No go. Which leads me to the following question: you can customize the keyboard ad nauseum...but there's no indicator for the mouse?

i absolutely hate that they did this update.  Should be able to modify based on how you work.  Not user friendly
