Track Style panel - 30 second delay after recent CC update (Premiere 26.2.2)??

Sudden and persistent 30–40 second delay when clicking "Track Style" in the captions panel and interacting with Appearance controls (Fill, Stroke, Background) in Premiere Pro 26.2.2. The rest of the software works fine. Problem appeared out of nowhere with no intentional changes made. Reinstalling, resetting preferences, clearing media cache, and deleting the GudeLivetype folder under CoreSync/plugins/livetype all helped but didn't fully resolve it. Essential Graphics folder is empty, no custom styles saved, only the 10 native Captions and Subtitles templates remaining. Delay persists even on small projects with just a few captions. Anyone experienced this after a recent CC update?
