Question

Transcribe Source Clips Premiere Error

I'm trying to transcribe around 100 video files (around 2h per clip) inside premiere to edit in a text-base mode. I select the clips, click on transcribe and let it do its magic. Every time i do this and leave the computer on its own, it ends rebooting itself. I've watched why and it demands 70GB of RAM at some points (wich i don't have). I'm using a M1 Pro with 32 GB of RAM. Any solution to make the transcriptions sequentially and not all at the same time (the process, since I want to leave the computer alone).

Thanks

Sounds like a memory leak, What version of Premiere?

I habven't encountered any issues with this but I'm also on an M1 Ultra with 64GB. Since your system is a bit low in terms of overall performance I would recommend doing the transcription in batches. I know that's not an easy "click it and walk away" solution but it will hopefully get it done.
