Hello,

I'm just curious if this information is available; what speech-to-text engine is Premiere Pro using to transcribe audio? and would it be possible to add an API key to a user-preferred service like Google, or AWS?

Correct answer Bruce Bullis

what speech-to-text engine is Premiere Pro using to transcribe audio?

Adobe's own.

would it be possible to add an API key to a user-preferred service like Google, or AWS?

It's doubtful Adobe would do that. It's already possible to invoke external transcription engines; see Digital Anarchy's Transcriptive.

Hey Bruce, thank you for replying. I actually did transcription inside Premiere for a couple of interviews and compared the results with what I got from AWS and Premiere did a lot better. I used Trascriptive a couple of years ago but didn't like how it integrated with Premiere, it felt very resource-heavy; maybe they've improved it since then. Anyways, thanks again for answering my question.
