Transcription not working on latest version of Premiere.

Question

I have the latest version of Premiere installed and am trying to use the text-based editing option for the first time. I have placed different clips onto my timeline, deleted the tracks with nothing on, selected the audio track and clicked 'transcribe'. The progress bar appears but doesn't go anywhere; the Estimated time is blank. Restarting hasn't helped, updating the software hqsn't helped.

The interviewee was a nightmare! So, many takes. Please don't make me listen to that!

I appreciate any help you can provide.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
