Transcription: re-transcribe to a different language is completely off.

Question

First, in Premiere's Text window, it transcribes to English automatically without asking. But more importantly, I wanted to transcribe to a different language than on the video but it is completely incorrect. The video dialogue is English. I tried transcribing to Spanish and every single word is incorrect and makes no sense. I tried transcribing to Italian, and every single word is incorrect and makes no sesne. Is there something i'm missing?

You can set the language you want to transcribe in by going to Settings > Transcription and setting the Default Language.

However, from your post, it sounds like you're looking for a translation to a different language rather than a transcription in the original language. Unfortunately, Premiere Pro does not currently have the ability to translate transcriptions. There are other services available that offer AI translation features.
