Transcription seems to be doing worse in 24.1.0

Ive been using transcription since it was 1st introduced. It was better before they processed locally, but did get better over versions. Im running 24.1.0 and on this project im seeing a much higher incidence of "guess the words" than I'm used to. I have (so far) 6 interviews recorded by different crews all across the country.

I understand having difficulty with accents, but this feels lke a lot more errors than I would expect.

I'm just looking for an honest response from Adobe...Has anything changed internally or am I just experiencing a fluke? Thanks.

Hi @dave the kOz,

I read your notes. You say that transcription quality is not as good as it once was. Sorry about that. Would you like me to move your post into the bug reports forum? This is a user-to-user forum. Unfortunately, the product team does not usually respond in the Discussions forum. Sorry for the issue. I hope we can help.

Thanks,
Kevin

Ive since had another interview, which I wouldve expected to be better, based on voice and audio qualities. Transcription errored on many simple words.

Thank you for your feedback. There was no recent change on the transcription logic that could explain this behaving differently.

Could you try out the latest Premiere Pro beta - this uses an updated transcription ai.
Best regards,
 Alexander
